Copies of the following documents will be given to all members of the
Committee: Acceptable uses of Trust Money, Unacceptable uses of Trust Money,
Review of Rules, and Minutes of the current meeting.
Mrs. Hamilton reported on the following issues:
Staffing for next year (09-10)
-Bruin Point did not lose any teachers
-Jean Hardy will be coming to teach 6th grade
-Dionne Sanderson will be returning as full time Title I Aide
while continuing to peruse her degree and teaching license
-OEK money to fund Kindergarten aides has been cut. Corrine Martinez can be
picked up out of school Title I funds for a half time aide position, not
necessarily in Kindergarten. Staff will decide how best to use her.
-Half time Special Ed. aide position is secure, plan to retain Marcia Hunt
-Preschool—Carol Lobato retired. Preschool will be run by 2 part time parapros
as teachers, one for morning and one for afternoon. Mary and Verna may
remain on staff if they so desire, to work with the new teachers. Positions
will be advertised immediately. Preschool is funded through Special Ed.
primarily for students with disabilities.
-Cindy will return as full time Reading First aide, funded by Reading First. The
following year Title I funds could possibly fund this as a half time
position since Reading First funds will be gone.
-Reading Coaches throughout the district will be half time positions except at
Bruin Point and Wellington. The following year the 2 full time coaching
positions will become half time positions since Reading First funds will
be gone.

give each teacher ½ hour prep. District only funding enough for ½ hour
