-Karlene Bianco did a presentation on Bullying at the Lighthouse and how this current year bullying incidents have dropped. This project has been monitored since the school district updated their bullying policy two years ago.
-Carbon School District may have a 7% cut in this current school year budget and another cut for next school year. Many programs may be dropped due to budget cuts. Currently there are no field trips and professional development. After the legislative session the district will know an exact percent that will be cut.
-UBSCT testing will be 2/3-2/5. Our students did very well during the fall UBSCT.
-Parent teacher conference will be on 2/9 from 1-7pm. There will be no school that day.
-Talked about capital outlay purchases, there will be some new carpet tile installed on 2/16 in an entry way. Our parking lot may be resurfaced this summer. Trees and planters will be purchased this Spring.
-Prom will be on 2/27 from 6-9 pm. Students have been warned that there will be no dancing in a "sexual manner" or Prom will be canceled. |
