Wes talked about the Stock Market Game. Mrs. Larsen attended a CTE training and came back with information about this stock market game. The accounting and financial lit classes are participating in this game. This teaches the students on how the market works, budgeting and planning skills.
FCCLA club had two students place second and now they will go to state competition in March. Lighthouse is so proud of these students.

Lighthouse has been given a Math Grade Master/ Datalink. This will help the school facilitate bench mark math testing for the district. This testing is aligned to the Core and can give vital data feed back to teachers on how individual students are performing.
Lighthouse will conduct March Math Madness again. There has been 8 community businesses already signed up to participate. The students will go into these businesses and see how they use Math everyday.
Judge Johansen from 7th District Juvenile Court came to the school on 2/24 and talked to the students about cell phones, searches/seizures, the constitution. The students really enjoyed asking the Judge questions and their rights. |
