1. Trustlands update: Original estimate $36,604 reduced to $29,075 for this year and will be approx. $26,887 for next year. We still have some $$ left. We approved purchase of five new VCR/DVDs approx. $100.00 each.
2. Capital Outlay: Mr. Jensen provided an explanation of Capital Outlay $$. It comes from local property taxes not out of legislative $$. The legislature is attempting to equalize all Capital Outlay state wide. Some districts will lose some gain. Mr. Jensen ordered two Elmo machines, two for the LA Department and two for the labs. They are used to project images from a base to a screen like opague machines. He purchased 10 mouses.
3. School Improvement Plan. Plan is due soon. We need to start thinking about it. Mr. Jensen will find out the date.
4. School Accreditation is due next year.
5. Honor Roll Activity: We had a movie last week in the auditorium. MH purchased a license from Swank Company which gives us the right to show any movie in their catalog.
6. Parent Teachers Conference: We had a 60% turnout last week. Parents liked the fact teachers were spread out so it was not so crowded.
7. Budget update: The legislature cut districts 1.6% for the balance of this year. Some of the cuts from Carbon School District are Performance Based Pay, Quality Teaching, and field trips.
8. NAEP Testing will start in early March. Sharp Survey will be conducted soon. Core testing is from another company and will start in April. |
